Job Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Administrator, the Facility Receptionist performs general office work to assist the Administrator and facility with clerical receptionist functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Obtains admission data from the resident’s family.
• Receives and opens mail. Answer routine correspondence.
• Answers telephones, direct calls, and schedules appointments.
• Operates and cares for office and other related duties.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Graduate from high school or a commercial school.
• Ability to type at a high rate of speed; good working knowledge of English usage, punctuation, ability to spell correctly, etc.
• Some clerical and administrative experience is required.
• Must have the ability to work under conditions of frequent interruptions and be tactful and cooperative in dealing with residents and visitors.
• Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
• Physical and Sensory Requirements (with or without the aid of mechanical devices): Walking, reaching, sitting, grasping, bending, lifting, pushing, fine hand coordination, ability to read and write in English, ability to perform mathematical functions, ability to communicate with residents, families, employees and support agencies, ability to evaluate and interpret financial information and make independent decisions, and ability to remain calm under stress.
• Must meet all local health regulations and successfully complete a post-offer health assessment.
• Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance and performing the essential functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
