A well-established industrial business in Ft. Meade that manages remedial closure activities is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Water Technician to join their team! The Water Technician will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the water treatment processes and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. This role requires expertise in water quality analysis, troubleshooting, and the operation of various water treatment systems used in the industrial and manufacturing processes.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Oversees all operations of the Ft. Meade double liming water treatment system
• Monitors the workplace to identify and address any safety or environmental concerns
• Performs proper lockout/tagout procedures on equipment
• Understands confined space entry requirements and ensures compliance before entry
• Collects and analyzes samples to maintain proper plant performance and water quality
• Ensures consistent plant production and high-quality water output
• Monitors and assists with slaker operations as needed
• Supports water treatment technicians with field operations and troubleshooting when required
• Collaborates with maintenance and electrical teams to resolve issues and improve plant reliability
• Accurately documents daily activities, observations, and issues in a logbook to inform the next shift and relevant personnel

Who We're Looking For

• Valid Florida Driver’s License
• Knowledge of water quality testing, chemical treatments, and water filtration systems
• Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with industrial water treatment equipment
• Industrial experience preferred, particularly with pumps
• Good communication skills and ability to work with various departments
• Certification in water treatment or water quality management preferred
• Experience with industrial-scale water systems or reverse osmosis systems preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree in Environmental Science, Water Quality Management, or a related field preferred)

What You Can Expect

• $25.00/hr
• Work a rotating schedule , alternating weekly between day and night shifts
• Day shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday through Thursday (44 hours, including 4 hours overtime)
• Night shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM, Monday through Wednesday (36 hours)
• Additional hours may be required during the rainy season based on workload and weather conditions
• Paid major holidays
• PTO
