DUTIES:

    \n
  • Responsible for problem solving, developing, sampling, and testing packaging to meet customer needs utilizing supplied software, equipment, and materials.
  • \n
  • Learn to design point-of-purchase, protective, E-commerce, signage or multi material solutions.
  • \n
  • Work closely with Sales to collect and process information to meet customer projects.
  • \n
  • Travels to customers as needed for project completion and to help build customer relations.
  • \n
  • Maintain detailed specifications, and documentation.
  • \n
  • Learn and remain competent in the capabilities and limitations of our manufacturing equipment.
  • \n
  • Learn and utilize Retail guidelines (Walmart, Aldi, Home Depot, etc)
  • \n
  • Learn and stay current with testing protocols such as Hazmat, ISTA, Amazon, Club Stores.
  • \n
  • Manages individual workload of assigned projects using project management software.
  • \n
  • Timely completion of projects to satisfy internal and external clients.
  • \n
  • Support Customer Service and Manufacturing in processing new item orders to ensure all new items meet expectations.
  • \n
  • Learn manufacturing capabilities to effectively route designs with collaboration from production.
  • \n
  • Keep work Areas clean and organized for safety and aesthetic purposes.
  • \n
  • Complies with Green Bay Packaging – WI Sheet Plants policies and procedures.
  • \n
  • Addition responsibilities assigned by management
  • \n

QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION

\n
    \n
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • \n
  • Maintain effective working relationships with all staff and partners.
  • \n
  • Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • \n
  • Ability to successfully work to reach company goals in an environment in which a wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of GBP product and processes.
  • \n
  • \n

    Four-year degree in Packaging or similar engineering program, previous Design or Engineering experience in corrugated preferred.

    \n
  • \n
  • \n

    Prior work experience in the corrugated industry preferred. 

    \n
  • \n
  • \n

    Familiar with Artios CAD or similar software preferred.

    \n
  • \n
  • \n

    Familiar with Tops or CAPE Palletizing Software preferred. 

    \n
  • \n
