Job Description

MongoDB’s mission is to empower innovators to create, transform, and disrupt industries by unleashing the power of software and data. We enable organizations of all sizes to easily build, scale, and run modern applications by helping them modernize legacy workloads, embrace innovation, and unleash AI. Our industry-leading developer data platform, MongoDB Atlas, is the only globally distributed, multi-cloud database and is available in more than 115 regions across AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. Atlas allows customers to build and run applications anywhere—on premises, or across cloud providers. With offices worldwide and over 175,000 new developers signing up to use MongoDB every month, it’s no wonder that leading organizations, like Samsung and Toyota, trust MongoDB to build next-generation, AI-powered applications.

Join MongoDB as a Staff Product Manager to revolutionize Application Modernization! We're seeking a visionary, especially on the West Coast, to drive our growth. Businesses are burdened by legacy apps; you'll empower them to migrate to MongoDB's cutting-edge AI-ready database. Lead critical data migration products, collaborating with our largest enterprise customers, our forward-deployed AI engineers, and our professional services teams. If you're passionate about building innovative data movement products and enjoy hands-on solutioning, this is your chance to make a massive impact!

  • Drive collaboration across Engineering, Customer Support, Marketing, Sales, Professional Services, and the Executive Leadership Team

  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date roadmap across your ownership areas

  • Deeply understand all aspects of MongoDB - to ensure a business outcome aligned with our broader product, customer, and company priorities

  • Define application modernization go-to-market strategies, identify key market/competitive trends and customer opportunities, and plan and manage programs to execute against those strategies by partnering with sales leadership at regional and global levels

  • Drive decision-making around prioritization, solutions, functionality, and pricing

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Product experience working with enterprise-focused application development technologies and customers

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to large executive audiences and key enterprise customers globally

  • Demonstrated leadership skills to bring together diverse viewpoints and drive a strategic agenda forward; can-do attitude, optimism, humility, creative solutioning, asking complex questions, and willingness to embrace the unknown are all required to succeed

  • Expert-level understanding of enterprise-scale software architectures, application development methodologies, and software deployment and operations.

  • Deep experience managing or using relational databases, particularly SQL and stored procedures with Oracle, MS SQL Server, Sybase, and PostgreSQL databases, in addition to MongoDB

  • Experience working with distributed streaming platforms, such as Apache Kafka, or change data capture platforms, like Debezium, is a significant plus

  • Strong technical acumen—our Product Managers must be as technical as their engineering counterparts and have in-depth knowledge

  • They must also be comfortable speaking with authority on any of the technical aspects of the topics in their portfolio
