Joe Hillman Plumbers, Inc. of Davie, FL is looking to hire an Office Administrator to join our office team and handle a variety of administrative tasks to help keep our business running smoothly. This Office Administrator position starts at $17-$20/hr . In addition to great earning potential , we are happy to offer excellent benefits , including medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) plan with match, paid holidays, paid vacation time, life insurance, and on-the-job training .

It is important to note that eligibility for benefits is contingent upon the duration of the assignment . Specifically, if the assignment extends beyond a period of 90 days, benefits may become available; however, if the assignment duration is less than 90 days, eligibility for benefits may not apply.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

As an Office Administrator, you play an essential role in our company running smoothly! Your primary responsibilities are to prepare and submit permit paperwork, handle scheduling, and make phone calls regarding inspections. Additionally, you submit backflow recertifications and support the invoice team by adding permit fees to invoices. No matter what task you're performing, you are always thorough and detail oriented. You love that every day is a little bit different and that you get to play a vital part in helping our company thrive.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Obtain all required approvals for permits and act as liaison between the company and each municipality
  • Prepare and submit applications to various agencies/ boards having jurisdiction over required permits and/or approvals
  • Coordinate paperwork and applications with outside consultants as necessary
  • Submit paperwork for permits
  • Work closely with the municipalities on the status of permits and ensure they are processed in a timely manner
  • Produce and maintain schedules for all communities and coordinate with municipalities from approval to final stages of permitting process
  • Maintain all company files relating to, approvals, licenses and permits

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

  • Office experience
  • Data entry skills
  • Familiarity with computers and standard office equipment
  • Knowledge about Tri-County geography
  • Experience preparing permit paperwork and scheduling inspections
  • Experience following up on permit status, and processing backflow recertification permits

Any experience in the home service industry, such as HVAC, plumbing, or electrical would be helpful but is not necessarily required. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish would also be a plus!
