Covenant Community Care, a faith-based charitable non-profit Community Health Center serving the people of Metro Detroit has an immediate opportunity for a Janitor to work throughout their various clinics. As a Federally Qualified Health Center, we offer integrated medical, dental, and behavioral health care to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay.

This is a full-time position that will report to the Janitorial Supervisor. The Janitor has a primary role of ensuring that a first-class cleaning service is delivered to all areas of the buildings.

Specific duties include:

• Perform cleaning work: cleaning floors, exam rooms, stairs, restrooms, removes garbage and cleans waste containers; shampoos carpets and rugs
• Ensure a first-class cleaning service is delivered to all areas of the buildings
• Ensure rooms are maintained and fully equipped
• Develops work plans; sets parameters for time and workflow
• Complete non-routine cleaning according to specific job orders

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• 1+ years janitorial experience/commercial cleaning
• Valid Driver's License and access to transportation
• Willingness to work early morning or late-night shifts
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and under control required. Bilingual, Spanish-speaking is a plus, but not required.
