Interior Design Assistant will work directly with the Principal Designer, clients, and various trades. Part-time (20-30 hours a week), hourly position (with potential for full-time). This position will be part-time remote and part-time in the studio.

  • Assist in the creation of client presentations, including design concepts, space planning, architectural elements, color schemes, fabric schemes, custom window treatments, and custom furniture pieces. Create 3D renderings and project documentation.
  • Select materials, furnishings, artwork, and lighting for a variety of projects.
  • Attend design meetings, assist with note taking, documentation, and interact with clients along with vendors and trades.
  • Gather quotes, specifications, and images for client presentations.
  • Manage project timelines and schedules together with design studio assistant.
  • Work with design studio assistant on procurement and execution phase of the projects.
  • Assist on select installations and deliveries to ensure clients’ satisfaction and solve any issues that may arise.
  • Assist with errands and typical studio tasks as needed.

Skillset requirements:

  • At least 2-3 years in a similar position at a residential interior design firm.
  • Must have Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Interior Design School
  • Knowledge/Understanding of Chief Architect or Sketch Up.
  • Basic understanding of lighting, cabinetry and appliances.
  • Proficient in Office products: Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to own the process, work independently, follow through and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and multi-task.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional phone and email etiquette.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Common sense and positive life outlook. And a sense of humor.
