Michigan School 1:1 Health Aide Saginaw, MI

This contract position offers the opportunity to provide dedicated individualized health support to a student in an elementary or middle school setting (Grades K-8) throughout the school day during the current school year (CSY). Serving as a 1:1 Health Aide, you will assist with personal care, health monitoring, and ensure the students safety and inclusion in all school activities.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver personalized health assistance to a designated student according to the school nurses guidance.
• Support daily personal care needs such as mobility assistance and hygiene.
• Accompany the student to classes, lunch, recess, and extracurricular activities to maintain safety and engagement.
• Respond effectively and promptly to medical emergencies in alignment with training and school policies.
• Promote independence and help the student integrate socially within the school environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; healthcare training or CNA certification preferred.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications or willingness to obtain them.
• Experience working with children and/or in healthcare settings is highly desirable.
• Strong compassion, patience, dependability, and professionalism.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work cooperatively within a school team.

Location:

• Elementary and middle school environment in Saginaw, Michigan.
