Job Description In this position, your role is essential in upholding compliance with tax regulations and optimizing tax processes for employees on international assignments. This position is key in handling the tax consequences of global mobility and facilitating a smooth transition for employees across different countries. Your main objective is to reduce tax-related risks and costs, while ensuring that both the organization and its employees adhere to relevant tax laws.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist clients in managing tax-related inquiries, including federal and state income taxes, social security contributions, and payroll considerations.
- Accurately prepare, review, and file tax returns and related deliverables for globally mobile employees within designated deadlines.
- Provide guidance on tax equalization and protection policies to employees, ensuring clear understanding and compliance.
- Support internal teams and clients' employees in understanding tax responsibilities related to international assignments.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Stay informed on relevant tax policies and industry developments, collaborating with tax specialists when needed.
- Act as a key point of contact for employees on business trips and assignments, providing necessary support and updates.
- Facilitate smooth communication between internal stakeholders and clients to address any tax-related concerns.
- Assist in financial aspects of client engagements, including billing and tracking key metrics.
- Build strong relationships with clients and internal teams, ensuring clear and professional communication at all times.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in any field (Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams and clients
Additional Information - Start Date: Mid-January
- This is a regular full time position.
- This is a hybrid role. 3 days a week in the office.
- Location: Chicago
- Compensation: $60,000-$80,000. Individual salaries are based on education, geographic location, and alignment to the market data.
