Job Details Responsibilities:
- Implement cost accounting systems and strategies to support the financial infrastructure of the company.
- Prepare and analyze cost reports, including raw material costs, manufacturing costs, labor costs, and overhead costs.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile with the general ledger.
- Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
- Coordinate with the production team to ensure accurate product costing.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Analyze production variances and their impact on production costs.
- Review and analyze margin reports for product lines.
- Conduct audits regularly to ensure the accuracy of financial and non-financial data.
- Collaborate with the management team to streamline cost accounting processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
- Maintain cost accounting system and work on ledger and cost audits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
- Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is highly desirable.
- Proficient in Variance Analysis and General Ledger.
- Strong analytical skills with a thorough understanding of financial reporting and cost accounting principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel.
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize to meet deadlines.
- A proactive problem solver who can make sound decisions based on data analysis.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and cost accounting principles.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
