SUMMARY :

Works under minimal direction and is responsible for the following: monitor Espresso batch jobs and backups. Reports and escalates job tracking issues to appropriate support team; serves as initial contact for information services, requests, or problems; provides technical support & assistance to end-users in a variety of areas (networks, operating systems, software applications, hardware, & system access); operates computer related hardware, printers, and other peripheral devices; assists in training new operators; performs other duties as assigned. The scope of specific responsibilities typically includes tasks of high complexity.

SPECIFIC DUTIES :

Planning & Administration
  • Provides superior customer service to a large, geographically dispersed user base.
  • Consistently meets critical batch reporting at a 95% on time success ratio.
  • Reviews production work schedules, test work schedules, special request jobs and contingency plans for a project, or specific components of a project.
  • Participates in the development and maintenance of Fortune Brands Innovations (FBIN) Information Technology services standards and procedures.
  • Consistently is punctual for all scheduled workdays. Will be required to work weekends, holidays, and cover vacations for other operators.
  • Consistently communicates in a timely fashion with users, other IT associates, and supervisors on the status and resolution of issues and questions.
  • Consistently meets assignment target completion dates.
  • Executes correct escalation procedures following Moen Help Desk escalation guidelines.
  • Performs job responsibilities in accordance with the FBIN Operating Philosophy.
  • Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Ensures all duties of this position are carried out according to safe work practices consistent with corporate and departmental policies and procedures.
Production Support
  • Operates computer-related hardware (computers and printers) and other operations area equipment as required.
  • Monitors Espresso batch job run schedules and signs off on critical batch applications, monitors NetBackup server jobs, obtains verbal/email instructions from other IT personnel, prepares a daily shift turnover email with all issues from the night.
  • Responds to job cancellation messages by contacting IT support personnel and/or follows specific restart instructions per job.
  • Provide first contact service desk support to diagnose and correct end user problems. Records and assigns incidents into the Service Desk ticket program. Assist in the user reset password process for numerous systems; SAP related processes; Windows related processes, etc.
  • Participates in the performance management process: creating objectives, completing self-appraisals and updating and executing individual development plans (IDP).
  • Meets monthly with your supervisor to discuss current working performance and objectives.

EDUCATION, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE :

  • Solid knowledge of Windows computer operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Solid knowledge and operation of PC based equipment and printers.
  • Demonstrated skills in providing superior customer service to a large, geographically dispersed user base.
  • Good interpersonal skills within all levels of IT.
  • Ability to maintain a continuous high production level.
  • Ability to follow oral and written technical instructions.
  • Ability to keep complete, accurate written records.
  • Two-year college degree or four years’ experience in IT Related field.
