Job Description
SP Industries Inc. is expanding our team in Gardiner, NY and have an immediate opening for a Mechanican Sub-Assembler. In this role, the right candidate will perform the assembly of units per blue prints to conform to customers needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - The use of drills, saws, punches, reamers, files and other power or hand tools as required.
- Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips or other fastening devices.
- Wire power components and connects them to main electrical box. (provided by electronics).
- Adjust parts for proper fit, alignment and function.
- Checks critical operations and performs basic start-up function tests.
- Connects "water" or "DI Water" hoses
- Starts system, observes operation, reads gauges and instruments and adjusts mechanisms such as valves, controls and pumps to control level of fluid, pressure and temperature in system.
- Dismantles malfunctioning systems and tests components.
- Replaces or adjusts defective or worn parts to repair systems.
- Insulates shells and cabinets of systems.
- Installs wiring to connect components to electric power source.
Qualifications - High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to read and follow documented work instructions and safety procedures.
- Willingness to learn and be trained on specialized equipment and processes.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision.
Payrate : $20-25/hr

- Ensure that the required protective equipment is used for the assigned tasks
- Attend all required health, safety and environmental training
- Report any accidents/incidents to supervisor
- Assist in investigating accidents/incidents
- Refrain from engaging in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct
