As a Armed Security Guard - Government Site in Bronx, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

In this unarmed patrol position, you will be responsible for monitoring assigned areas, observing for any unusual activity, and providing prompt, professional communication with staff and visitors. Your role is essential in helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a welcoming atmosphere. You will also respond to incidents as needed and work closely with your team to deliver outstanding customer service. Pay Rate: $32.70 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri12:00 AM - 06:00 AMSat12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any unusual findings.
  • Document and report incidents, observations, and other relevant information as required by Allied Universal and site policies.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed during incidents or emergencies.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned location to help to deter unwanted activity and provide assistance to employees and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
  • Must possess an active Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
