Job Description

Position Title: Adult Care Facility Surveyor/Investigator (Clinical)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Marion Edwards is seeking Registered Professional Nurses (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to conduct on-site recertication surveys and complaint/incident/death/questionable operations investigation activities in Adult Care Facilities across the State of New York.

The Clinical Surveyor/Investigator will:

Conduct recertication surveys and investigation activities as assigned

Follow all NYSDOH-established protocols pertaining to the assigned investigation or

survey, including but not limited to:

Interviewing residents, staff, and witnesses

Conducting records reviews

Site inspection

Survey and investigation closure process

Document all survey and investigation activities in the appropriate data system(s) following all documentation timeline criteria

Participate in closures and emergency events as assigned

Attend and complete all training, both in person and remotely, as required

Obtain Surveyor Minimum Qualications Test Certication within one year of employment

Professionally represent Marion Edwards and the NYSDOH

Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation to travel to on-site

facility and regional office locations

Qualications:

Registered Professional Nurse (RN) licensed and registered in the State of New York with:

One (1) year of survey or investigation experience, or;

Three (3) years of professional nursing experience in a post-licensure professional nursing experience, with at least two (2) years of which must have been professional clinical nursing experience in a licensed healthcare facility. A bachelors or masters degree in nursing can be substituted for one year of the required general nursing experience.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensed and registered in the State of New York with two (2) years of survey or investigation experience.

Surveyor Minimum Qualications Test Certication, preferred.

Working Conditions:

MUST BE ABLE TO COMMUTE TO THIS LOCATION:

(60% On-Site in Adult Care Facilities & 40% Working In-Office)

*Please note there will be the opportunity to work remotely 40% of the time after a 6-12 month period based on performance and Supervisor digression*

Work Statement:

Travel for this position will primarily be regional within New York State, though occasional statewide travel may be required to conduct facility investigations. Additionally, travel to the regional office or other locations within the state may be required for training, team meetings, or client engagements.

Compensation:

As required by applicable law, Marion Edwards provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $61,655-$87,100.

We provide 120 PTO hours and 80 Holiday hours. If employment starts on or before the 15th of the month the initial accrual of 10 hours /month will be received. If employment starts after the 15th of the month, accrual starts the following month.
