We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accessories Buyer who will play a pivotal role in sourcing, selecting, and purchasing a diverse assortment of cannabis-related accessories, ensuring that our product offerings align with market trends and consumer preferences.

This candidate will deliver the sales and profit plan for assigned classes through the precise execution of a well-conceived merchandise strategy to meet and exceed the sales profits for their department. The role is fast paced, and our Accessories Buyer will have the energetic and entrepreneurial spirit to drive sales and margin in an expanding category of business, and foresight of current and future market trends. The ideal candidate intuitively responds to customer feedback, market trends and develops action plans that drive category specific growth and increased profitability. This position reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Merchandising and Planning.

Location: Remote with ability to travel to our stores 30% of the time. Preference to candidates located in or near our states of operation: IL, NJ, MA, MI, OH, PA, MD.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop a compelling assortment, based on store and direct strategies that meet/exceed sales volume and profits
• Expand product line to enhance appeal to target market and identify new business opportunities that do not exist within current assortment today
• Test emerging trends for selling viability
• Facilitate and present seasonal buy strategies in partnership with SVP of Merchandising to the Executive Retail teams.  
• Stay on top of viral, current trends, and cultural moments. In turn, develop those ideas into product strategies and chase opportunities
• Analyze sales data and industry insights to inform decisions on product selection and assortment
• Ability to distort classifications to ensure positioning within the market
• Responsible for managing inventory levels and flow at Omnichannel
• Develop new resources
• Develop new design collaborations and manage vendor relationships
• Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts to ensure mark-up goals are achieved
• Maintain clear vision of store and direct customer and their needs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and retail operations, to align accessory offerings with the overall brand and business objectives.
• Work with SVP of Merchandising to develop strong story lines for the website, emails and store presentations
• Partner with SVP of Merchandising on visual execution to support key product strategies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business, or a related field preferred
• 5+ years of proven experience as a Retail Buyer; consumer packaged goods or cannabis industry experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to analyze market trends, regulations, and consumer preferences; proficiency in using data to drive decision-making
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with an ability to navigate complex regulatory environments
• Experience with visual merchandising and planogramming preferred
• Familiarity with inventory management and forecasting tools
• Ability to use creative problem solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite; especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Flexible to work in a fast paced, changing environment
• Must have excellent organization and time management skills
• Team player, ability to problem-solve, self-motivated and strong work ethic
